Field Officer: Local NGO

A local NGO is seeking to fill the position of Field Officer. The position is based in the rural areas and one must be willing to stay within the communities. The main objective of the position is to assist small holder farmers to improve productivity and marketing of their crops. The Field Officer will work closely with beneficiary farmers, conducts trainings and gives technical assistance, collects data, liaises with relevant stakeholders, and assists smallholder farmers to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.

Qualifications and requirements
At least a diploma in agriculture; at least 3 years' experience in a rural based development projects; mobilizing and training farmers; excellent management of project demonstration sites; excellent inter-personal relations and communication skills.
